Belief in Reincarnation
Which outfits believe in
it and which dont
Posted
I have never come across a Theosophist
who doesnt believe in Reincarnation although the exact mechanics of it have
often been a subject of discussion.
Some religions such as Buddhism and
Wicca put reincarnation at the centre of their belief system others discount it
Here is a quick guide
Christianity - NO but has in the past
and some claim references to it can be found in the Bible
Islam NO but some claim that there are
references to it in the Quoran
Judaism NO some branches on Judaism
are not even convinced of an afterlife.
Hinduism YES in many traditions
Buddhism YES in many traditions
Catharism
YES as transmigration of souls
Kabbalism
DIVIDED but YES if the person has unfinished business.
Sufism YES but conditional on life
lived
Wicca (Modern Paganism) YES there are
many branches of this and some even believe that you can be reincarnated in the
past.
Sikhism YES

Massive doctrinal variations can be
found in all religions and this is only a general guide.
